OF THE COLUMBUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

Notice is hereby given of a Special Called Meeting for the Columbus County Board of Commissioners, called by the Chairman, for Monday, April 29, 2024 at 4:00 P.M., in the Commissioners' Chambers, 127 W. Webster Street, Whiteville, North

Carolina. The purpose of this Special Called Meeting is for the Mauldin & Jenkins FY 2022 Audit Presentation and approval, approval of the amended contract for Mauldin &

Jenkins, and enter into Closed Session in Accordance with N.C.G. N.C.G.S. § 1433 18.11 Attorney-Client Privilege, N.C.G.S. § 143-318.11 Economic Development, and N.C.G.S. § 143-318.11 Personnel.

This meeting is being called pursuant to N.C.G.S. §153A-40 as a Special Called Meeting. This Notice shall be forwarded to all news media who have requested Notice pursuant to the General Statutes of North Carolina.

  2. Finance — Mauldin & Jenkins FY 2022 Audit Presentation and approval: Finance Director Lacie Jacobs is requesting presentation and approval of the Fiscal Year 2022 Audit by Mauldin & Jenkins. (Lacie Jacobs will be available for any questions the commissioners may have.)
  3. Finance — Approval of the Amended Contract with Mauldin & Jenkins FY 2022 Audit: Finance Director Lacie Jacobs is requesting approval of the amended contract with Mauldin & Jenkins regarding the Fiscal Year 2022 Audit. (Lacie Jacobs will be available for any questions the commissioners may have.)

RECESS REGULAR SESSION and enter into CLOSED SESSION in ACCORDANCE with N.C.G.S. ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGE, N.C.G.S. 143ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT and N.C.G.S. PERSONNEL.
