Coronavirus/Covid-19-CCPHA Actions and Updates
As the Covid-19 risk evolves in North Carolina, Columbus County Public Housing is implementing appropriate and well-informed protections for the CCPHA staff and the families we serve. In our actions, we are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, the Columbus County Department of Health and the actions of other public housing authorities around the country facing similar tasks.
Our Offices are Closed to the Public, But Open for Business. Email or Call Instead!
You can reach us at 910-640-6618. If no one answers leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. We also have applications, (Interim) Income Change forms and Apartment Lists at the entrance to our office. You can fill out the form and drop in our drop box beside the door. (The forms are only out during office hours (Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5:00pm) but the box is available anytime for your convenience.
If you have had a drop in income be sure to notify the office immediately, you will need to complete and interim form and provide verification of loss of income and verification of unemployment, and all other income that you receive. We understand obtaining this information may be difficult so please call us if you need assistance getting these verifications. We may be able to help out or let you self- certify your income.
The Columbus County PHA’s mission is to provide safe, decent and sanitary housing conditions for very low-income families and to manage resources efficiently. The PHA is to promote personal, economic and social upward mobility to provide families the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing.
