Important Information Regarding Your Trash Collection Service

On July 1, 2017, Columbus County will begin a new residential trash collection contract with Waste Industries.  Dark gray trash receptacles are currently being distributed throughout the County.  Please continue to use the old receptacles until they have been picked up from your residence.  Please note that any trash placed in the new receptacles will not be picked up until after July 1.  At this time, Waste Industries plans to provide trash collection services on your normal day of service.  However, you will be notified as soon as possible if any changes are made.  It is very important that you have your carts out at the curb by 5:30 A.M. on your day of service.  Fees will be incurred if the driver has to return to your residence for a missed pick up.  Additional bags of trash left outside of the container will not be picked up due to safety concerns.  If you should have any questions, please contact Waste Industries at (910) 499-4646 or visit for more information.
