POSITION: Public Health Educator II
SALARY: Hiring $39,574.00 Min $41,552.00 to Max $59,361.00
GRADE : 67
Minimum Requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in health education, or graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience in public health education.
DUTIES: This position has the delegated responsibility of coordinating the quality improvement activities of the organization with emphasis on the coordination of these activities for all department / clinics. Coordinates the quality assessment and improvement program with the department by reviewing, monitoring and auditing medical/nursing staff for compliance of programmatic guidelines, agency policies and applicable protocols to assure compliance with NC Nurse Practice Act, NC Public Health Law, NC Administrative Code, Center for Disease Control & Prevention Guidelines, NC Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Public Health Addendums. Lead coordinator in the accreditation process for Columbus County Health Department.
Coordinate and participates in quarterly clinical record reviews, assist in identification of critical indicators. Works with program supervisor to prepare and execute corrective action plan for all clinics. Advise staff of out-of-compliance issues and recommend corrective plan of action. Assist with all monitoring and evaluation activities. Provide annual quality assessment and improvement plan for all clinics in the department. Responsible for updating existing clinical/administrative policies or new clinical/administrative policies as needed.
