Water Quality Issues & Boil Water Advisory
Due to emergency repairs to the Public Water Supply System, a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for customers within Columbus County Water and Sewer District IV. Staff are working diligently to repair service to customers. The areas affected include all customers from 2696 General Howe Hwy to 3830 General Howe Hwy, Salter Road, Cemetery Road, and Love Road. Due to the repair of the water main line break, the flow of water will be reversed throughout the system and customers may experience water quality issues such as discolored water. Customers that experience problems with discolored water will need to contact the afterhours telephone number, 910-770-2158, to report concerns. Staff will be working diligently to monitor potential issues that may arise. The system should be clear within the next 24 hours. It is recommended that water used for consumption should be boiled during the next 24 hours.
